The California Air Resources Board’s Truck and Bus Regulation retrofit deadline is approaching. The process of ordering and installing can take a few months, so you should plan now to meet the January 1st compliance deadline and avoid possible penalties. Starting now will help you figure out which options make the most sense for your business, and which funding options might be available.

Option 1 -Follow the compliance schedule by engine model year that requires 1996 – 2006 model engines to be retrofit with a diesel particulate matter filter by January 1, 2014, or

Option 2 -Use a phase-in option that requires 90% of vehicles in your fleet to be retrofit with a diesel particulate filter by January 1, 2014. (Note: this option requires annual reporting to ARB)
